(Mar. 07, 2010 / Lake Livingston, Onalaska, TX )... Anglers Quest 2010 Livingston Saturday Series # 3 out of Kickapoo Bait & Tackle in Onalaska, TX began this event with 78 teamed anglers showing up to fish for the $5260.00 purse.

The event began at safe light, which was 6:16 am. Weigh in was conducted at 3:15 pm. This Livingston Saturday Series after all 9 events will provide the Team Anglers of the year with free entries to all 2011 Livingston Saturday Series events. The Top 10 teams in pounds and all teams that enter all 9 Livingston Saturday Series events will qualify for the Tournament of Champions Championship on November 13-14 on Lake Palestine.

Lake Livingston water was in decent shape and about 1/4 ft above normal pool level with water temps ranning 52-58 degrees. The weather at takeoff was a calm 36 degrees with a warm up to 68 degrees by weigh in time. The fish catching was decent on Livingston today as there were 14 limits brought to the scales, for a total of 103 bass at 302.46 lbs making the average bass brought to the scales today weigh 2.93 lb.

The team of Johnny Clawson Jr & Dalene Felder from Onalaska, Tx ran Johnny's Astro/Mercury bass rig to Brushy Creek to catch 5 keeper bass throwing a chartruse/white spinner bait in 1 1/2 ft of water around brush using their American Rodsmiths & Airrus rods & Revo Reels. Johnny & Dalene had 20 bass all day to cull up to their best 5 keepers at 23.22 lbs to finish in 1st place and collect $1800.00 for their day on the water. They also had bought a Bass Guard Culling system and collected an additional $25.00 for the incentive bonus?.It pays to own a culling system from Bass Guard.

The team of Andy Shafer & Paul Manley from College Station, Tx ran Andy's Skeeter/Yamaha bass rig to creek areas north of the 190 bridge to catch 5 keeper bass throwing spinner baits & jigs in 1-3 ft water around shoreline cover. Andy & Paul had an awesome bag of bass that tipped the scales at 22.93 lbs to finish in 2nd place and collect $1000.00 for their day on the water.

The team of Larry Jenkins & Dale Hill from Livingston, Tx ran Dale's Sidewinder/Yamaha bass rig to triple creek lake areas around Kickapoo creek to catch 5 keeper bass flipping jigs/craw worms in 1-4 ft water around piers with brush. Larry & Dale had a nice limit of bass at 18.96 lbs to finish in 3rd place and collect $800.00 for their day on the water.

The 2009 Anglers of the Year team of Morgan Burton from Livingston, Tx & Randy McAdams from Cleveland, Tx ran their Ranger/Yamaha bass rig to various creek areas to finish in 4th with their best 5 bass that tipped the scales at 17.51 lbs. They reported getting their bites on spinner baits & tx rigged worms. Their day on the water payed back $500.00 for their efforts.

The team of Toby Hartsell & Wade Ellis from Livingston, Tx ran Wade's Nitro/Mercury to Kickapoo creek areas to finish in 5th place with a total of 5 bass that tipped the scales at 15.78 lbs fishing with spinner baits and earned them $500.00 for their day on the water. One of their bass was the Big Bass of the event, a fine 7.71 lber.

The team of Curtis Jordan & George Broussard ran Curtis's Vip/Mercury bass rig to Penwaugh creek areas to flip tx rigged worms around piers with brush in 3-6 ft water and bring in 5 bass at 15.35 lbs to garner 6th place and collect $275.00.

The team of David Curtis & Mark Mueck collected the 7th place check of $190.00 with 5 bass that tipped the scales at 14.44 lbs.

Archie & Melvin Smith collected the 1st place out of the money Gift Certificates from Santone & ZZ Lures for their day on the lake for their 5 bass at 14.18 lbs.

Anglers Quest will be at Mill Creek Park on Sam Rayburn on Saturday, March 13th & 14th for the 3rd of 9 Sam Rayburn Saturday Series & Individual events. On March 20th & 21st A/Q will be at El Dorado Jack's on Lake Conroe for the 3rdof 9 Lake Conroe Saturday & Individual events. Then on March 27th & 28th A/Q will be at Lake Houston Marina on Lake Houston for the 3rd Saturday & Individual events.
