(Feb. 28, 2010 / Montgomery, TX )... Anglers Quest 2010 Conroe Individual Series #2 out of El Dorado Jack's in Montgomery, TX began this event with 7 anglers showing up to fish for the $945.00 purse. This 2nd event of 2010 was started with the playing of the National Anthem at 6:25 am with weigh in conducted at 3:15 pm. This Conroe Individual Series after all 9 events will provide the Angler of the year with free entries to all 2011 Conroe Individual Series events. The anglers entering all 9 Rayburn Individual series events will automatically qualify for the 2-day "Tournament of Champions" Championship on November 13-14 on Lake Palestine.

A special highest point Top 10 group of anglers will qualify to go to the "Tournament of Champions" with a minimum of 6 events entered. Anglers Quest "Tournament of Champions" will Guarantee $35,000.00 to 1st-2nd & 3rd places.

Lake Conroe water was in good shape and about normal pool level with water temps ranning 49-55 degrees. The weather at takeoff was a calm 44 degrees with a warming to 69 degrees by weigh in time. The fish catching continues to be slow on Conroe today as there were no limits of bass brought to the scales today. There was only a total of 6 bass at 25.78 lbs making the average bass brought to the scales today weigh 4.29 lb.

Garrett Pierce from Conroe, Tx ran his Skeeter/Yamaha bass rig to shallow creek channel areas to catch his bass casting cranks in 4-10 ft of water. One of his bass was the Big Bass at 7.42 lbs. He only managed to catch 2 keepers to finish in 1st place with 12.46 lbs and made him $810.00 for his day on the water.

Robert Svoboda from Sealy, Tx ran his bass rig to various mid lake areas to throw small cranks to catch his 2 bass that tipped the scales at 6.05 lbs to finish in 2nd and collect $100.00 for his efforts.

Cary Jackson finished in 3rd with 1 bass at 4.94 lbs and took home the Santone Lures & ZZ Lures Gift Certificates for 1st place out of the money.
